Quick and Easy Embroidery Classes

Embellishing our costumes is very important step in the costuming process!  Pre-made trims and appliques add beauty and elegance to the costum but sometimes there is more needed or the colors that are available are not right.  When we want to emulate ethnic garments we can use embroidery or fabric designs appliqued onto beledi dresses or coats.  Regular embroidery is fantastic but can not be seen from afar.  Quick and Easy Embroidery is a method of using chain stitch with some bead/sequin embellishment in large patterns that can be seen from stage or across a large dance space.

   The Quick & Easy Embroidery class held on May 24th was a small class but we got a lot done!
Watch for follow-up pictures as the projects are finished.

The June Quick & Easy Embroidery Embellishment class found us adding metallic overcast thread, beads and sequins and additional embroidery to the designs we worked on last month.  Watch for added pictures as we continue to work on our projects.
