Dance of Arabia teaches Turkish/Arabic style of belly dance, the dance forms used in American Cabaret. In addition, a wide range of Middle-Eastern and North African dance styles will be introduced, as belly dance is the melting pot of dance and music in the Middle-East. From classical Persian to Moroccan and everything in between. Come dance with us!
Samrah (Cathy-Lynn Carden) opened Dance of Arabia in October of 1989 in Tucson at the corner of Ft. Lowell and Country Club offering belly dance/Middle-Eastern dance classes for beginner through professional dancers. "I had taken classes at Zuleka's Studio of Arabic Dance for 8 years and danced with Pat C. for 1 1/2 years before that. Over the years I have taken classes/workshops with well known teachers such as Bert Baladine, Jamila Salimpor, Jodette, Suzanna Del Veccio, Mary Ellen Donald, John Compton, Aisha Ali, Amaya, Morocco, Suhaila Salimpor, Artemas Mourat, ...too many to list but not forgotten!"
